A wooden floating shelf, 40 × 15 cm and 1.5 cm thick, whose metal bracket hides inside the wood for a clean, minimalist line. It suits books, frames and small plants in a kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom or a living room, from modern to farmhouse styles. Five finishes are available: white, brown, black, walnut and natural wood. Use two staggered shelves for a simple wall display.

01How to use itHow to hang this floating shelf
This floating shelf measures 40 × 15 cm and 1.5 cm thick. Its metal bracket hides inside the wood, so once it is fixed you only see a clean, floating line. Screw the bracket to the wall first, check it with a spirit level, then slide the shelf over the rods.
The load it can hold depends mainly on your wall and fixings. Screwed into solid brick or into timber studs, it can carry books and plants; on plasterboard, use cavity fixings and keep to lighter decorative objects.

Dust with a dry or slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away; avoid soaking the wood or using harsh cleaning products.
In a bathroom or kitchen, keep it away from direct splashes and wipe off any water quickly. Check the fixings from time to time if the shelf carries heavy items.

What size is it?
It is 40 × 15 cm and 1.5 cm thick. Two staggered shelves make a simple wall display above a desk or a sideboard.

No, the metal bracket hides inside the wood, so the shelf seems to float on the wall with a clean, minimalist line.

We deliver to all 27 countries of the European Union, at the same rates everywhere. Every order is prepared within 1 to 3 business days and sent with tracking, so you can follow your parcel right up to your door.
How much is delivery?
Standard delivery costs €4.90 per order, whatever the number of pieces, and it is free on orders of €70 or more. If your items leave in separate parcels, you still pay for shipping only once.
How long does delivery take?
Allow 10 to 18 days for France and 11 to 21 days for the rest of the EU, including 1 to 3 business days of preparation. If your parcel has not arrived 25 days after shipping, contact us and we will look into it.
How can I track my order?
As soon as your order ships, you receive an email with a tracking number so you can follow your parcel. If you order several pieces, they may arrive in separate parcels on different days, each with its own tracking.
Can I return it?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return an item without giving a reason, as long as it is unused, complete and in its original packaging. Once we have received and checked it, we refund the item and the initial standard shipping cost within 14 days.
Which payment methods do you accept?
You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Payment goes through a secure, encrypted checkout, and the refund of a return is always made to the payment method you used for the order.

A study nook in the living room
We don't have a spare room, so I made a little study nook in the corner of the living room. Two shelves above the desk, one slightly offset: on the top one my favourite books and a plant that trails down, on the lower one a pencil jar, a candle and a postcard from Lisbon. The natural wood keeps everything soft and bright, and because there is no visible bracket it doesn't feel like an office. My husband and I put both up in about half an hour. Four on the study wall
Bought four for my study wall and hung them in a staggered pattern like on the photos. It took some measuring with pencil marks and a lot of tape, but now it is my favourite wall in the house: a few books, a small plant, a photo of the kids and an old camera. Book ledge for my son
I wanted my four-year-old to choose his bedtime stories himself, so I put this shelf on the wall beside his bed, low enough for him and with the covers facing out. Every night he picks one and puts it back the next morning, which is a small miracle. The brown is a nice warm colour and the shelf does not look like a typical kids' shelf, so it can stay when he grows up. I added a small frame with his first drawing. Books finally off the floor
We moved into a small flat last spring and my books were living in piles on the bedroom floor for months. I ordered two shelves in natural wood to test, and then two more a week later. The bracket goes into the wall first, then the shelf slides over it, so from the front you only see a clean piece of wood, 40 cm long, nothing else. My partner was sceptical about the thin 1.5 cm profile, but for paperbacks it is perfect. Delivery took a while, about two weeks, but everything was well packed and there was not one scratch. Fine shelf, fiddly to hang
The shelf itself is fine and it looks good now, honestly. But the instructions about the wall plugs are very short, and on my plaster wall I had to buy other plugs and redo one hole. It took me a whole afternoon to get it level, with my partner holding the spirit level and both of us getting annoyed lol. My record sleeves on show

Moving-day rescue
