This Moroccan-style lantern in iron and glass stands about 15.5 cm high and 7 cm across. It holds a tealight, and its ornate metalwork scatters patterns of light around the room.

Smaller than it looks

Three on the windowsill
I have three on my windowsill, two white and one black, all with clear glass. In the evening, with the candles lit, the shadows of the metalwork on the wall are beautiful. I live on a busy street and the neighbours across told me they look at my window every night. I didn't expect such a small object to have so much effect. They arrived well packed, all glass intact, but it took about two weeks. Worth it, and I'm already thinking about coloured ones for Christmas.

Our terrace in summer
We have a small covered terrace in Sevilla and in summer we eat outside every night. I bought two of these lanterns in white with coloured glass and hung them from hooks above the table. The colours dance on the white walls when the candles burn, and it gives the place a warm and slightly exotic atmosphere. Friends who come for dinner always take photos.
