Glass Ball Vase

This little ball of woven glass rods measures 6 cm across and 5 cm high. It is made for a single flower or a few short stems, in the spirit of ikebana: the glass lattice holds each stem exactly where you place it.

Cut stems short, about 10 to 15 cm, so the flower sits just above the ball. The open structure shows off the stems and the water.

• One rose, ranunculus or anemone
• Two or three sprigs of lavender or waxflower
• A single small branch for a minimalist look
• Several balls in a row for a table runner

• On a dining table Several tiny vases in a row, one flower each.
• On a bedside table A single bloom in a very small space.
• On a desk Fresh flowers that never get in the way.
• As a place setting One per guest for a special dinner.

Change the water every day or two, as the volume is small. Recut stems to keep flowers fresh.

Rinse with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, and let it dry upside down.
