Choose 20 cm for a kitchen or a bathroom, 25 cm for most rooms and 30 cm for a living room wall. On a bare wall, centre it at about eye level; above furniture, leave 20 to 30 cm.

• 25 cm: bedroom, hallway, office
• 30 cm: living room
