The piece

Little clear glass bottles with old-fashioned embossed patterns, like finds from a French brocante.

Eleven vintage shapes in pressed glass: a violin, a medallion bottle, diamond cuts, lattices and slim bud vases. Use one for a single stem, or line several along a shelf or a windowsill for a cabinet-of-curiosities look.

01How to use it

Which flowers suit these embossed glass bottles?

These little clear glass bottles with old-fashioned embossed patterns come in eleven shapes, from 9.2 to 21.7 cm high and 5.1 to 7.9 cm across depending on the model. Their narrow necks suit one to three stems.

They look best in groups: line up three to five shapes of different heights, each with a single stem, for a brocante-style display.

  • Single garden flowers: cosmos, sweet peas, roses
  • Wild flowers and grasses
  • Sprigs of lavender or rosemary
  • Reed diffuser sticks

    Nice, but some seams visible

It is nice, but the moulding lines on the side are quite visible, more than I expected. For the price it's okay, just less refined up close than on the photo.

A mix of shapes for our wedding

We used a mix of shapes on each table at our wedding, with wildflowers. They look even better all together.
