A tiny ball of woven glass rods, made for a single flower in the spirit of ikebana.
Clear or tinted glass rods are looped into a small, open sphere that holds one or two stems at quirky angles. Set it on a desk, a tea tray or a windowsill, with a single bloom, a twig or a sprig of blossom.

01How to use it
Which flowers suit this tiny glass ball vase?
This little ball of woven glass rods measures 6 cm across and 5 cm high. It is made for a single flower or a few short stems, in the spirit of ikebana: the glass lattice holds each stem exactly where you place it.
Cut stems short, about 10 to 15 cm, so the flower sits just above the ball. The open structure shows off the stems and the water.

Wish I took the large one
Pretty but the small clear one is very small next to my other vases, I think the large version would suit me better. Will try it next time.

Pink lighter than expected
Nice little object. The pink is lighter than I thought, more pastel, but it's still cute.

Like a glass doodle
It looks like somebody drew a ball with glass. I love objects like this, a little bit funny and still elegant. Mine is on the bathroom shelf with a sprig of lavender.

Last winter I put snowdrops from the garden in it. Small vase for small flowers, it fits perfectly.

One loop slightly off
Very nice, but one of the loops is slightly off from the others. You only see it if you look closely.

Tiny, really tiny
Very pretty but it is really tiny, about 6 cm. I read the size but still was surprised. Works for one small flower.

Wedding table favourite
We used a few of these on the tables for my sister's small wedding, each with a single stem of gypsophila or a little rose. Guests kept picking them up to look at them and several asked if they could take one home. They are small, so you need several for a table, but grouped in threes with tea lights around they looked beautiful. The glass is clear and the loops are neat. Delivery took a while so order early if you plan an event.

Quirky angles, as promised
The stems really stand at funny angles between the glass loops, it's exactly the charm of it. I put a small branch of rosemary and a daisy on the kitchen windowsill and every morning the sun goes through the yellow glass. It makes me smile while I make coffee.

Hard to fill
It looks nice empty but I found it hard to make flowers stay where I want, they fall to the side. Maybe better with stiff twigs. Mixed feelings.

Too small for what I wanted
Nice glass but too small for what I wanted, I thought it was for a little bouquet. It holds one or two stems, as written. Ok for a desk.

Needs a stiff stem
Lovely piece. Soft stems flop around a bit, a twig or something sturdier works better. Still glad I got it.

A garden in five colours
I bought it in the clear version first for my office, and I was so charmed by it that I came back for yellow, blue and pink. Now they are lined up on the windowsill of my living room, each with one stem from the garden: a cosmos, a bit of mint, a small rose, a twig of olive. It is the kind of display that changes every week depending on what is blooming. They are small, yes, you have to accept that, around 6 cm, but that is also what makes them charming. The glass came very well protected, no breakage at all.
