The piece

Thick glass with a deep, bark-like texture, in emerald, cobalt, plum or clear.

Moulded with vertical ridges that look like tree bark or ice, these heavy vases glow with colour when light passes through. They hold a full bunch of white flowers or orchids and make a striking centrepiece on their own.

01How to use it

Which flowers suit this textured glass vase?

This thick glass vase has a deep, bark-like texture. The coloured versions measure 20.5 cm high and 15.5 cm wide; the clear version 21.5 cm high and 14 cm wide.

Its wide opening suits a generous bouquet. Aim for stems of about 30 to 40 cm and let them spread naturally; the textured glass hides the stems and softens the water line.

  • Peonies, roses or hydrangeas
  • A loose bunch of garden flowers
  • Orchid stems or lilies for a statement
  • Empty, as a sculptural piece in emerald, cobalt or plum

Questions

How big is it?

The coloured versions are 20.5 cm high and 15.5 cm wide, and the clear version 21.5 cm high and 14 cm wide. Its thick glass makes it a statement piece.

Can I use it with fresh flowers?

Yes, it holds water. Change the water every two days to keep a full bunch fresh.

Which flowers suit it?

White lilies, orchids, roses or a full bunch of seasonal flowers. White flowers stand out especially well against the emerald, cobalt or plum glass.

Is it heavy?

Yes, the glass is thick, so the vase stands firmly even with a tall bouquet. It is stable enough to be a centrepiece on its own.

How do I clean it?

Use warm soapy water and a soft bottle brush to reach the bark-like texture inside. Wash by hand and dry with a soft cloth to avoid water marks in the relief.

Are the flowers included?

No, the vase is sold empty. Its thick coloured glass looks striking on its own, and even more so with a full bunch of white flowers.

    Wedding gift success

Gave it as a wedding present. The couple loved it.

    Sold on the tapered one

The tapered cobalt shape is so elegant. Very happy. It is heavy and stable, I put white roses in it on the dining table.

    Remarkable light play

A remarkable object. When the light passes through the cobalt glass, it throws blue reflections onto the white tablecloth. The weight gives it a quality feeling.

    Sculpture with a purpose

It's like a sculpture that also holds flowers. Very happy with it.

    Color therapy

Color therapy for a gray Seattle winter. The emerald glass with the window light behind is like a little forest in the living room.
