Silent wall clocks

A silent wall clock uses a sweep movement: the second hand glides smoothly around the dial instead of jumping each second, so there is no ticking. That makes it the right choice for a bedroom, a study, a nursery or any room where you want quiet. Our silent clocks include a classic round clock with clear numbers, in 25 or 30 cm with a black or gold frame, and a wooden clock with a Japanese-style moon design in about 30, 35 or 40 cm.

How to choose a silent clock

Choose a size that suits the wall: 25 cm for a bedside wall or an office, 30 to 40 cm above a bed or a sofa. Clear numbers are easier to read in low light. Check the battery type on the product page; batteries are not included.

Getting the most from a silent movement

Replace the battery about once a year: a weak battery can make the hands slow down. Keep the clock away from steam and direct heat, and dust it with a soft, dry cloth.
