Woven plant baskets

A woven basket softens the look of a plant and brings natural texture into a room. Our handwoven straw hanging planter, 10 to 12 cm high, comes in coffee, natural or original tones and hangs from a ceiling hook, a curtain pole or a bracket. Its airy weave suits orchids, which like air around their roots.

Using a basket as a planter

Natural fibre is not watertight. Keep the plant in its plastic nursery pot, take it out to water it in the sink, let it drain fully, then put it back in the basket. This keeps the straw dry and prevents mould.

Styling plant baskets

Baskets suit boho, Scandinavian and cottage interiors. Hang two or three at different heights in front of a window, or pair a basket with ceramic pots and a wooden plant stand for a natural mix of textures. Dust the fibre with a soft brush and keep it away from constant damp.
