Glazed and matte ceramic plant pots

Ceramic is the classic material for plant pots: heavy enough to stay stable, easy to clean and available in endless colours. Our ceramic plant pots include small pots in bright blue and sky blue glazes, a little planter in glazed or natural unglazed ceramic and a handmade orchid pot fired at high temperature in 15 glaze styles.

Glazed or unglazed?

Glazed ceramic is waterproof on the outside, keeps its colour and wipes clean easily. Unglazed ceramic has a soft, raw look and lets the compost breathe, but it absorbs water and can mark, so always use a saucer. Handmade glazes vary slightly from one pot to the next, which is part of their charm.

Care tips

Water when the compost is dry and empty the saucer afterwards. Bring ceramic pots indoors before frost, as water in the clay can make them crack. Wipe them with a damp cloth.
